We love our ward here, the Havre Ward, Havre, MT. Our Bishop is wonderful and I'm sure he won't mind me mentioning his name. Bishop Acor is a podiatrist. There are several health professionals in our ward. Dave Crossley is a PA and is our Ward Mission Leader and he is great. He was just reactivated about a year ago, just before we got here, after 25 years of inactivity and after serving a mission. He is so strong in the Gospel and such an inspiration. He has been so fired up about missionary work and almost never misses a weekly meeting with the four of us and works closely with the Elders or Sisters that are here.
We visit the less-actives and have met probably 100 of them, maybe more. I haven't counted. It's a little frustrating because we haven't gotten very many to come back to Church, but we're still trying and have made some really good friends.
One man that we were successful in getting back to Church had lived here in Havre for a couple of years and no one knew him or even where he lived. We ferreted him out and after a couple of "put offs" we were successful in meeting with him. Then a month or so later he called us and told us he wanted to come to church but didn't have transportation. We picked him up and that was the start of it all. He didn't have a job, no car, not many friends and now he's active, has a car, a job and just received the Melchizedek Priesthood about two weeks ago at Stake Conference! I've never seen a happier person! There is no better feeling than to see the changes in a person that embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!
